My review on Ken's glides......

The first glide I received was OK. It was the slotted quad version. I did have one commercial glue down I tried it on where I was not able to push it forward. This glide may be intended for more of a residential carpet for agitation. I sent it back to Ken on Monday.
I got my old style Prochem holed glide on Friday with a small tube of Goop. I applied the goop all the way around the glide which fit like a glove. I had to hammer it to get it on. I am very pleased with this holed glide. It makes the wand much easier to push and their is still plenty of vacuum. It will actually pull the carpet up like it did without a glide.

Glide Instalation Instructions
1) A warm glide installs easier than a cold glide. Immerse glide in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes prior to installing.An alnernate way is to use a 1500 watt hairdryer for 5 minutes to warm it up as well.
2)Starting at one end of the glide, with the glide in proper relation front to back, push one end of the glide onto the wand lips at a steep angle.
3)Slowly work the rest of the glide onto the wand until it clicks firmly into place.If there is not an audible click, it is likely not firmly seated on the wand properly.
4)If desired, especially for older wands with bent or worn lips,run a thin bead of the GOOP marine sealant along the front and back of the wand after installing, where the the teflon and metal meet.Dry times will be much better if the ends of the glide are sealed to prevent air leakage. Especially important if the glide is being used with a portable instead of a TM. TMs with blowers of 5.9 or larger have so much airflow that sealing the ends does not matter as much.
5) Allow sealant to cure for at least 12 hours with the glide roughly in the cleaning position.
6) Glide can be removed by GENTLY prying the glide away from the wand lips from the top with 2 wide blade screwdrivers, one at the front and one at the back of the wand. Start at one end and continue along the length of the glide until it is fully released.
7) Frequently taking the glide on and off will result in premature wear to the sealing surfaces and air leakage rates higher than normal.
We use and recommend GOOP Brand Adhesive and Sealant.We provide you with a small tube of this with your Glide order. Larger Tubes are available from Hardware stores like Home Depot and Lowes.
